The Cookshire Agricultural Fair has the full participation of children and teens who want to present the animals that they have taken particular care of during the year, whether or not they are 4-H Club members. Their milk or beef cows, horses, goats, sheep, rabbits and poultry of all sorts are evaluated by qualified judges. They point out the weaknesses and strengths of their protégés so that in the future, they can use this knowledge to improve their herd. Young riders, both boys and girls, proudly take part as well in the festivities and the parade. In clasical attire, they are dressed in keeping with protocol, complete with a riding bomb. In western style, they wear the corresponding costume with a cowboy hat. Others walk their draft horse, immense alongside the child aged 7, 8 or 9 years.
