Public Market in Sawyerville

The public market in Sawyerville (Cookshire-Eaton) will officially open for the summer on Saturday, July 7. Merchants in about a dozen kiosks await visitors. Vegetables, berries, mushrooms, cheese, honey, maple products and venison are among the local produce available. The market offers a festive atmosphere, with music and the inauguration of a new permanent structure to shelter merchants during bad weather, or to house workshops and meetings. A surprise! Bernadette Breault, a 100-year-old woman, will be offering flowers that she cultivated. The public market will be open every Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. until September 22.
