What a relief! Haying season has been so much better this year. Several good-weather stretches (albeit very hot at times) interspersed with decent rainfalls, have allowed the region’s farmers to bring in good crops, rarely under the threat of rain.
But good crops mean hard summer work and few minutes to spare. These Island Brook farmers enjoyed a moment to chat, at least, on New Mexico Road a couple of weeks ago.
May they enjoy longer chats, undisturbed by passing cars, at the Cookshire Fair this week!
